Note: This is a spin-off to my other story "The Day Of The Blue Box", it doesn't share any important plotlines, but happens in the same universe. Also posted on AO3. Ever since the new how to train your dragon has come out I've gotten back into the fandom and wanted write my own fanfic for it. In this story you are a young Viking who wants to live up to their fathers legacy as a dragon hunter. But one night changes all of that when you meet a young juvenile dragon that changes everything that you thought you knew about them.

What if after being slain by the hunter, a fragment of Zoh Shia found its way to the ocean of the forbidden lands and drifted away to unknown lands, the barbaric archipelago, what would happen if the Landspire somehow went further than the Forbidden lands, what if the barbaric archipelago was secretly rich in Wylk, all hidden away from dragons and Vikings alike, what if it was rich enough to allow Zoh Shia to reform, what would happen when a creature made to destroy is unleashed in this new world, when there are those who could change the purpose it was made for? Find out as you follow along this story. note: I do not, by any means own httyd or monster hunter, they are just two of my favorite shows/games and this is meant to be a fun story to read for your enjoyment, I don't own any of the images in this story, but by all means i encourage you to watch httyd and play monster hunter for they're both amazing, though that's my opinion

far above in the sky of the Barbaric Archipelago a crimson comet from an unknown far lands flying through the sky falls down crashing in a snowy freezing island but the comet wont be alone in this Barbaric Archipelago a httyd x monster hunter story(i dont really know alot about monster hunter so any informations and comments and suggestions are welcome) the story is in the events of race to the edge and this is my first story soo dont expect much (just like any fan story in existence i do not own anything about httyd or dreamwork or monster hunter and i dont even own the picture of the story i just found it and used it but i dont know who made it) also i changed this story name from the lightning and the comet to the comet of tempest because to be honest it sounds better and a little warning in future chapters there might be like violence and blood and things like this so yeah just saying

Suddenly, a loud bang, like an explosion, shattered Hiccup's ears. He jolted at the sound. Toothless shrieked. A buffalo wail followed. There was a click. **BANG! ** A shotgun. But where was it- **POW!!** Hiccup glanced around frantically. The dust settled around him. Stray buffalo clambered past him, but now in the opposite direction. They retreated up the road, chasing the rest of the herd and braying with terror. "Toothless?" He called, but the stallion was nowhere to be seen. "Toothless!" Hiccup called again. The horse had returned to what he once was, a shadow on the horizon. Hiccup heard someone shift behind him, and turned. Leaning on one hip, a woman lowered her shotgun. She stood between him and the town, with an expression he couldn't read. Hiccup recognized the gun- it was one from the ranch. But the woman was not a town resident. Even with her long, blonde locks pulled back in a tight braid, stray hair fell into her striking blue eyes. Her skin, once fair and pale, was now sun-kissed. Her blue skirt billowed in the breeze. She pushed back her beige brimmed hat and widened her eyes at him. "...Hiccup?" Hiccup's eyes widened in recognition, and he returned her dumbfounded expression. "Astrid!" - A httyd cowboy AU set in the Old West town of Berk. Harold Hickok (AKA Hiccup) befriends a wild black stallion named Toothless.

The war with dragons might be over but that doesn't mean fitting them into modern day life on Berk is easy. Especially not when Hiccup has school to worry about, on top of everything else.

Vikings and Dragons, at war. Two Brothers trying to prove themselves as Vikings to be a part of their village, well one is the other could care less. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III and his brother Floki Rienne Haddock V are seen as embarrassments around Berk, Hiccup being a disastrous klutz and Floki being a coward, Death Seeking, Shame to his family, Crazy Nut, and worst of all, a Dragon loving fool. Finally being able to prove that they are Vikings Hiccup and Floki attend Dragon Training to learn how to kill dragons. Hiccup doubts his and the people of Berk's views on how they feel about dragons and Floki having his own secrets. The two will have to adapt to everything they learn and keep it a secret from others. He'd think you were lying. However, that seemed to be anything but a lie here. Having been a bit too far out on one of their solo flight when accidentally stumbling upon the land. Now he knew exactly how toothless felt as the roles of this land were kind of reversed. However, this too brought so many questions. What were they going to do? What other secrets did this place hold? And how would this dragon & human duo survive in the land of Pyrrhia?| (Extra info): Did I make this because I got a bit dragged into the wings of fire Fandom? Yep. Plus, thought it was a cool concept to work! This will likely have long chapters and slow updates, but probably not that big of a difference with time updates like with any of the fic's I've made before. But as for where each story takes place? For httyd the start of the 2nd movie, and as for wof, the first book, some time before the dragonets escape attempt! But anyway, enjoy!
