In a small island called Berk lived a community of people, those people called themselves vikings. They all helped one another with whatever could be needed; from looking after the young children to helping feed eachother. But that small island had its greatest foe, dragons. Dragons would attack Berk to cause destruction, potentially kill the residents but most importantly to steal the sheep. There was a group of six teenagers - three boys and three girls - who would help during the dragon raids by acting as fire fighters, the go around chucking water over fires and putting them out. However, a boy the same age as them and the son of Stoik the fast - the cheif of Berk - felt envious over them. He was never allowed to help as people from Berk always claimed that he would 'get in their way while fighing'. He couldn't blame them as deep down he knew it was true, but that didn't.hange the fact he wanted to be like them.

Siobhan Gunnarsson is the daughter of the village healer of Berk, the healer apprentice of Berk and she is the best friend of Hiccup Haddock, the future chief of Berk but she has a crush on Hiccup's cousin, Snotlout Jorgenson. Snotlout Jorgensen is the son of Spitelout Jorgenson, the second in command of Berk and he is the cousin of Hiccup and the second one in line to the throne of Berk and he is Hiccup's rival who thinks that he is the best viking and he has a crush on Astrid but he has a soft side for Siobhan since she understands his pressures that he gets from his father and the relationship that Snotlout has with his father. But one day, Hiccup and Siobhan become best friends with a pair of Night Fury dragons and it begins a chance of being able to prove that the dragons aren't bad after all.
