His eyes were captivatingly beautiful; gentle, but within them was a raging storm. They were glistening, as tears fell in trickling lines down his tanned, smooth skin. His eyelids hung low, a heavy burden troubled them. His eyes encapsulated raw vulnerability. He looked tired, weighed down by life. I knew his heart was aching, mine was too.
