This is a fanstory based off my crossover/crackship; VampCat which is between Hugo from Zenless Zone Zero & Cifera from Honkai: Star Rail. In the city of New Eridu-where monsters wear human faces and survival means never looking too closely. And definitely not too closely to someone like Hugo Vlad-a man carved from secrets, with eyes that have seen far too much and hands that have done worse. Somewhere between a failed heist and a fractured world, paths were crossed with a girl who remembers things she shouldn't, who carries timelines like scars beneath her skin. She shouldn't exist in this world. Neither should the way he looks at her... like he's already lost her a thousand times. This isn't a love story meant to save anyone. It's the kind that ruins you slowly-where trust feels like a weapon, fate is something cruel and repeating, and every choice pulls you deeper into a story that was never meant to end happily. But here you are anyway. Watching emotions grow, Feeling something you didn't think you would, Falling into endless loops. AU where Lycaon is Astra's bodyguard and Evelyn joined Mockingbird instead of Vivian. (Mainly so I can have a tense gay and lesbian standoff with some of my favorite characters :P)
