Hijinks and young love are almost more than Pineapple Sam can handle. This book takes you on a teenager’s journey of playing pranks, hiding trouble from your dad, and the nervousness that comes with falling in love. Everyone has those stories they remember from their teen years. The ones that you gather around during the holidays or at a class reunion and wonder how in the world you didn’t get arrested, injured, or even killed. You remember your crazy hijinks and the fluttery feeling of falling in love. This book takes you on a trip of times past and of friendships forged. Take a walk on the wild side as the story opens with Pineapple Sam and his friends. The laughter flows from the first splash of water, to the less than slick getaway, and beyond.

I laid down on my stomach and began paddling toward the wave. I craned my neck to look up at the top of the wave as I saw it curling down to hit the surface. I stood up and positioned myself as I rode parallel to the wave. The water was clear, almost transparent, and I ran my fingers through the water. I was half way through the monstrous wave; then it came. I crouched down and grabbed my leg screaming in agony. My board shook from under me making me lose my balance and fall to what seemed to be my death. I stole a quick glimpse at Nathan, catching his terrified expression, before the wave devoured me and threw me under and around like a game of football. The ocean showed no mercy as it tossed me like a salad and soon I was hurled to the bottom before I blacked out. *** Nalani Noe is your fearless island girl. Nathan Wright is your ordinary guy from Arizona. When Nathan works as a camp counselor in Hawai'i he meets new people; one of them being Nalani. They live completely different lives coming from completely different backgrounds. Will they last long enough to ride out the wave or will they be caught in a wipeout? There's only one way to find out. Shoots bruddah.

Murder of the Hula Dancers is the third book in the popular Leila Kahana series of Maui mystery and suspense novels, following Murder in Maui and Murder on Kaanapali Beach, by bestselling crime writer R. Barri Flowers. Maui County homicide detective and composite sketch artist Leila Kahana and her partner Detective Jonny Chung investigate the murders of beautiful hula dancers by a serial killer dubbed the "Hula Killer." Each victim was stabbed to death. As they chase leads and suspects, Leila starts to believe that Chung might be a dirty cop. But should she act on her suspicions and report it to her boss Lieutenant Blake Seymour? In the meantime, Leila is in the midst of a new relationship with handsome restaurateur Maxwell Kishimoto. When he asks her to marry him, she's conflicted due to her conservative upbringing, career, and independence. Also in the Homicide Unit, Detectives Trent Ferguson and Rachel Lancaster investigate the murder of a woman whose charred corpse was found in a vehicle along a deserted road. Could solving one case help solve the other? Or be an impediment? As the Hula Killer continues to evade capture with the body count rising, Leila volunteers to go undercover as a hula dancer to try and flush out the murderer. But is the cunning killer one step ahead of them? Is Leila putting her life at risk to become another one of his victims? Fans of the first two books in the Leila Kahana series of mysteries will find Murder of the Hula Dancers the perfect follow up and prelude to future books in the series. Aloha!

This is a collection of short stories that are about places I would like to one day visit, but for now there are all chapters of my imagination. I am the Grl heard around the world! This is actually written for my Great Uncle Atty. Pio Frago to read. We live in two different parts of the world, and this is my way to reach him. It is also a collection of stories I wrote to keep my (virtual ticket) going per se! As a baby, I was personified as the little girl who 'cried' around the world by an airplane passenger in Hawaii. And in a way, I still like to get my 'voice' heard, but now through words in a story and my poetry. So, if you are willing to join me for a 'virtual ride' to a place I call my own, please do. My Grandpa passed away on Aug. 15, 2017.
