Powers were typically inherited, or there were no powers at all. To the public eye, Marinette has not found her ability yet at age 15. What everyone doesn't know, including her parents, was that she found her power at the age of 3, younger than the known record. After a long and exhausting patel ladybug and chat noir felt sick but it wasn't them it was the they kwamis. In the next morning tikki and plagg had a new form. But they new form didn't just give them a new look but also new filings.

Plagg is a relatively normal kid. Sure, he's a bit arrogant, and his cheese addiction isn't normal, but it's just a part of puberty. Right? That's what it could be passed off as until he moves to Paris, and starts to find out the things lost in the cracks long ago. Things no one dare look for.
