It's been fifteen years since the Boiling Isles were saved from the tyrannical rule of Emperor Belos, and Luz and Amity were happy on Earth... for awhile. But Earth isn't the safe place that Amity assumed before coming to the Human Realm. At least it wasn't. But as another year threatens to come to a close, Amity will come face to face with the sacrifices she's made to do for Luz's world what Luz did for hers.

Before there was anything, there was darkness or "night". - In the vast darkness, a glint of light flickers, creating an orbit with smoky shadows enveloping it. There, a creature awakens. Draped with long black robes that are covered by the luminance of stars and galaxies, a crown was coated by dark mist above her perfect face. With its luscious red plump lips, naturally rosy cheeks, and eyes that hold the power of night. As she opens her pitch-black eyes which the universe held captive, a radiant light shone, and an oracle was heeded. "Bring forth a night to daylight Convey nightmares to those, tarnished hands Seek vengeance in the realm, for humans shall not exist"
