Too exposed. He smiles, just barely. "You handed her the coffee." He says. "You watched her drink it. And you didn't look away." Silence stretches between us. "I wondered if you'd realized yet." He continues, adjusting his cufflinks. "That we're the same kind of ambitious." He continues, "You removed an obstacle. I removed mine." A pause. "The only issue is proximity.
