Ashleigh's thrown into a world of both romance and horror and lots of bloodshed when she meets a mysterious boy and girl by the names of Ethan Kuran and Rebecca Moon. On top of that, she discovers a whole new side to her family's past, one that holds many secrets and dangers. She was destined to become something that she's not. All because of this one little discovery, her entire world is turned up side down. Through all of this she encounters many more people, but are they really her friends? Or are they her foes? Mystery after mystery, even though how dangerous, every mystery she solves, she's one more step closer to finding out everything. But in the end, she's torn between choosing to be with the ones she loves and fulfilling her destiny for the ones who gave their lives up for her. Which will she choose? "I want to do my best to protect you, or die trying."
