In 2035, Coriolanus Crassus Snow is a brilliant young man from one of the most powerful wealthy families in the world. With his future already planned, Coryo is expected to attend Columbia University, eventually inherit his family's empire, and carry the Snow name into the next generation.
His five sisters, however, have other plans for him when they become friends with Lucy Gray Baird, a talented and wildly free-spirited singer-songwriter from another wealthy and famous family of musicians.
Lucy Gray is everything Coryo isn't. She follows her heart, loves music, writes her own songs, and refuses to let wealth or society define her.
While Coryo is buried in his studies and preparing for his future, his sisters constantly tell him about their amazing new friend, Lucy. Eventually, they convince him to take one night off and come meet her.
That night changes everything.
Coryo and Lucy immediately feel an unexpected spark, despite being complete opposites. But their growing relationship soon faces pressure from both families. The Snows don't approve of Lucy, believing her unconventional personality and musical lifestyle aren't appropriate for their heir.
As Coryo struggles between family expectations and the woman he loves, his mother reminds him that he doesn't have to choose. She built her own life while remaining part of the family empire, and she believes Coryo can have both: the empire and Lucy.
But choosing both may be harder than anyone expects.
