Before his eyes were closed , meaning that the calming darkness would swallow and envelop him : his hearing was on his side for this moment , as he heard Dr. Gaul mouth the very words that correlated to the reason why she was doing this to them ━ " because , you deserve it . " ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ in which , the capitol's avoxes are finally free from a forsaken life . they have had enough of people turning their backs on them , and so : they turn their backs on everyone else in return and escape . however , their life of being forsaken avoxes still follows them - even after they have settled in and formed a place of their own to call home . Seonghwa welcomed the taste of blood, even smiled at the sight of it pooling under his feet, because that meant he was still alive.
