    "I'm scared" my 13 year old sister Jemma whimpered; staring up at me. "Why?" I asked "what are the odds they'll pick you? There's so many others they could pick" I tried to comfort her. "You're not scared?" She asked. "No, of course not" I lied. Of course I was scared, but could you blame me? Wouldn't you be scared if there was a chance you could be forced to fight to the death with 23 other kids and have it plastered all over tv? The fear was there, and it hung above all of our heads in district 7 as we said goodbye to our shabby cabins and trundled over to the reaping. You knew it was a rare occasion when boys wore shirts and girls wore dresses. 9 times out of 10, it meant reaping day.
