After Lance was injured in a previous mission, Keith finds himself becoming more protective over the boy which takes him by surprise. While planning their current mission plans, Keith as the Black Paladin makes the decision to forbid Lance from leaving the Castle of Lions for this mission which frustrates Lance into trying to disobey Keiths orders. In a moment of anger and protectiveness, Keith impulsively marks Lance with a mating mark on his neck in front of the other Paladins.
