Being an outcast isn't new to Lance and his group of close friends, throughout college people have called him and his group the 'Paladins of Voltron' which is funny given the fact that Lance is a comic book artist and makes small comics of him and his friends as those paladins. He always had been close to all of his friends and seems like the odd ball out of all of them, or the over confident player. As he sees himself. Everyone has been connected through each other in this group that he tends to feel left out, even though he knows he's loved equally by them all. He just never feels wanted, and the group finds it hard to connect to his emotions when he feels down. He rarely even opens up to the main leaders Shiro and Allura. He always portrays feelings of each one of his friends in his comics, but rarely his own. Most of the time he feels selfish because he feels like the seventh wheel, even though he knows he isn't. But when a new found feeling bounds inside of him and chains him to his heart. Will he ever get a chance to express it.?

Later on, people learned of his other special and rare abilities. He could change how old he looked and his size, although it was limited to how old and tall he really was. He could also change into all different breeds of all animals. The older he was the more he was sent back to auction houses. A week later he would be sold again at a higher price. He fought all of his owners and in only a month he was forced to wear a collar. If you put a collar on a shapeshifter they can't change forms unless you force them to. Lance was now 19 and he was still being controlled by them. He was at another auction house and was going to be sold soon. Was this his destiny? Was this going to be his life forever? Would anyone save him? Keith Kogane was rich. He had married many men who were all old and on their deathbeds. He was only 21 and all those old men were blinded by that, marrying him and dying soon after. He had billions of dollars and decided that he should find someone to keep him company for the rest of his life. He had heard of auction houses and how they sold shapeshifters. He had always thought of getting one but none had impressed him. What would happen when Keith finds Lance, arguably the most powerful and wanted shapeshifter in America? Would he soften his heart?
