Y/n L/n, Pidge's best friend forever, is about to experience something out of this world: literally. When Y/n was 11 years old, her parents went into space, leaving her in the care of Pidge's family. After a couple weeks, there was a news flash; Y/n's parents were missing in action. By that time, she had enrolled in the Galaxy Garrison and was adopted by Shiro as his little sister. The Holts were in the living room with Y/n, and she started to ask if it was true or not. Pidge noticed that Y/n was crying and immediately ran up to her and comforted her. Soon after that happened, Shiro and Pidge's brother and father were pronounced dead after going to Kerberos. When the two best friends went to the Garrison and they met their new teammates; Lance McClain and Hunk Garrett. When Lance saw Y/n, he started flirting with her, but she got fed up and smacked him. Lance noticed this and never tried to flirt with Y/n again. Soon, the team failed a flight simulation. When Iverson started scolding them, Y/n got scared and hid behind Hunk. After the simulation, Pidge and Y/n went to the roof to listen to alien radio chatter. That night, Lance and Hunk went to the roof and saw the two with headphones and their backpacks. Little did the team know that they were going to be part of something greater than the Garrison. But Y/n soon found out that her parents were hiding something from her, as well as seeing Keith Kogane again. A Voltron AU in which the paladins are attending high school like any normal teens... but not for long. Garrison High has some secrets, but they quickly realize it's not just about the Garrison, or even just the school systems; what happens at the Garrison could affect everyone. From the Galra threats, to the tight-lipped Alteans, the paladins must do their best for the good of society... or there may not be a society for them to save. (So far it hasn't gotten to the world-saving yet but we're almost there- OH OH WE'RE HALFWAY THERE, OH OH, LIVIN ON A PRAYER-) Note: This is my first Voltron fic, and I'm planning on keeping the updates on this consistent- most likely once a week, but I may have to change it to once every two weeks or something sometimes because of the constant stress of school.
