Luz was born in the demon realm diagnosed with autism and ADHD and lost her family when she was young her whole life shes been seen as a werido she lives with her adoptive family the Clawthorns that consist of Eda her adoptive mother along her little brother king and her older brother hunter she's been home schooled most of her life but when Eda finally manages to get her into hexside Luz will eventually find out that maybe being werid isn't so bad Amity is apart of the blight family a very rich and high standards family her mother and father are always arguing her mother always puts her in such high standards makes sure she's always in her room studying she doesn't know how to relax and have fun from all the work her mother makes her do and her father is always too busy to even notice her the only people in the house she talks to are Emira and Edric. at school she's little miss perfect seen as the perfect student with perfect A's and head of the student council while deep down she's a secret nerd but doesn't want to show it untill a new student arrives this story will be more Luz focused but don't worry i will give Amity a healthy amount of attention

Update: Cancelled I'm going to be rewriting the whole fic on ao3 Two years. Two, very long years since what had happened with the Collector. Since the Boiling Isles had been rebuilt. Since King had sacrificed himself for the Boiling Isles. Since Eda and her companions had built another portal to the human realm. Oddly enough, it brought them to the exact shack that the last portal led her to. Two years since Luz and her friends came back to live in the Boiling Isles, for good this time. Yet the people of the Isles seemed to have been fawning over a certain band with a lead singer who played a rather evil role in almost all their lives, Boscha. Luz was determined to one-up Boscha when she heard about the band, and she had just the plan to do it. (All characters and The Owl House is owned by Dana Terrace. Cover art is done by me.)

20 years on earth. it's been 20 years since the portal broke down and Luz and her friends were trapped back on earth never knowing what happened back on the boiling isles. 20 years since the kids lost their childhood families. Edalyn Nocheda-Blight is just a normal 14 year old girl. She loves logic, science, math, and anything that could be explained within reasonability. then one day something unusual happens, the one thing that in her mind could never be truly be explained. She. Did. Magic. Edalyn's best and basically only friend, Charlie, was quite the opposite. He adored the mere thought of super powers being real, and even more so hearing origin stories of his favorite characters. He had always wished to maybe someday have one of his own. Daydreaming how he could save so many lives and fight all of the bad guys he could ever want. (always winning of course.) Then one day he gets a late night text from his best friend. Hunter knows Willow is special to him even before she is declared Grom Queen and asked to face her greatest fear in front of the entire school. He knows she's more than just his friend when he gives her a lovely little gift for Grom, before he sees his own possession as her fear, and before she comes through the fight victorious. And Hunter also knows that he isn't brave enough to say what he wants to say on his own. So with Luz's encouragement, he puts on a mask and a cape and tells Willow three very important things, one about his past, one about his present, and one about his feelings.

Halloween has special significance to the friends in the Hexsquad, but not for the reasons they wanted it to. It was supposed to be a day of fun and instead it turned into a tragedy. For Hunter, it is both the weekend he nearly died and the same weekend he realized that he wasn't alone. For Willow, it is the weekend she almost lost him and the weekend she realized she needed to open up to her friends because while friendship could endure, their lives might not. Each year, Hunter and Willow mark the day together. Each year, they grow closer and closer together. Eventually, they start to reclaim Halloween for their own.
