He can't understand why he suddenly wants to follow along, and he hates that he does, but he lets it happen. Unfortunately this doesn't come without consequences. OK ew cheesy description this is an "AU" where it's just SLIIIGHTLY more realistic. Like, without big snot monsters and shit, and the cult isn't as powerful. So, not much different, but more room for a happy ending. Also sal's pagan, cause why not? ⚠️‼️ This will contain: depictions of domestic abuse (obviously), alcohol abuse, self harm, intrusive thoughts, disordered eating, planned murder, death threats, homophobia (obviously), conversion therapy, drugging, and memory manipulation.
