This is the sequel to my fanfic We will always find each other (in our hearts). Jonathan has been defeated and captured, Alec hoped this would mean he could finally be happy with Magnus and his children. But Valentine is still out there and wanting to free Jonathan, so they can get Alec back. And on top of all that Alec's abusive parents keep trying to invade his life, wanting to take Simon and Rebecca away from him and Magnus.

Valentine has kidnapped Alec and is using him as a hostage to force Magnus to do an Inception job for him. Valentine wants Magnus to plant the idea in Simon's mind to change his mind about divorcing Jonathan. But when Magnus discovers that Jonathan had been abusing Simon he is torn about what to do. Magnus won't rest until he saves Alec but he can't allow Simon to return to his abusive husband. Alec tries to escape from Valentine, but he has become obsessed with Alec so he is desperate to keep Alec from escaping. What Valentine doesn't know is that Alec has the power of being able to communicate with people through dreams, he uses this power to talk to Magnus but he has to be careful so that Valentine doesn't find out about his power.

Alec, Magnus and Simon do a web show together, which has become worldwide famous and popular. Magnus has been secretly in love with Alec for years but has been too afraid to tell him. When Jonathan asks Alec to the prom, Magnus is devastated. But Magnus finds out Jonathan has stood Alec up, so he asks Alec to the prom and gives him the amazing night he deserves.

Alec is a Muggleborn, Alec's parents hate that he has magic and tried to beat it out of him. They continue to abuse him for years, Alec's only escape is Hogwarts. But even there he has to deal with cruel pure bloods who despise him for being Muggleborn. One night the abuse is so bad that Alec's parents almost kill him, but Harry saves Alec. Harry wants to send Maryse and Robert to Azkaban but because they never abused Izzy or Max no one will believe him apart from Draco who was the only other person to see Harry save Alec. Harry and Draco adopt Alec as his parents don't want him and Alec is afraid to live with them. Harry wants to adopt Alec's siblings too, but Maryse and Robert won't let them and Alec's siblings don't have magic. Being adopted by Harry Potter makes Alec famous but he hates the fame. Alec was always more comfortable in the shadows not the limelight. But he is shown parental love for the first time in his life which makes it worth dealing with the struggles of fame. Alec has had a crush on Magnus for years but has been too afraid to say as Magnus is from a pure blood family. But Magnus surprises him by asking him out, Alec is wary at first but begins to fall for Magnus.

In this omegaverse human AU, omega Alec is devestated when his boyfriend Jonathan breaks up with him on valentine's day, Magnus has been secretly pining for Alec since they met. Will Magnus confess his feelings?

Alec's life is turned upside down when he discovers that he is a Shadowhunter. Alec lived in Idris until he was ten, but Robert tries to kidnap Alec because he needs his blood to destroy downworlders. Maryse stops him and takes her children away from Idris and runs to New York. She had Simon the High Warlock of Brooklyn erase Alec's memories of the Shadow world, but doesn't keep it from Izzy and Max so she can train them to protect Alec. Maryse's plan worked and Alec lives a happy life free from the Shadow world, but everything goes wrong when Robert finds Alec.

This story is based on the Hamilton musical song Satisfied but has a happy ending. Alec and Magnus were together for three years but broke up. They meet again at a party two years later, Alec never stopped loving Magnus and realizes this is his chance to win Magnus back. He reconnects with Magnus but just as he hopes that Magnus still loves him back, Magnus still loves him back, Alec realizes that Izzy is in love with Magnus. Alec loves Izzy so much and can't bear the thought of being the reason she would loose her chance of happiness with Magnus. So he sets Magnus up with her even though it devastates him. But ten years later Izzy and Magnus end their marriage and Magnus meets Alec again. Magnus discovers Alec's sacrifice and realizes he still loves Alec. After reconciling Alec and Magnus get back together.

Alec is really looking forward to his 21st birthday, but he is devastated when everyone forgets his birthday. Even Magnus forgets. When Magnus realises he has forgotten Alec's birthday he feels terrible and wants to make it up to Alec. But an old enemy wants Alec and is obsessed with him. Victor won't rest until he takes Alec away from Magnus and makes Alec his.
