He has to risk it all to live. He runs to the forest where no human can find him, and joins the wolves, the kings of the winter forest. But Rodferd was a husky. A dog. He tries to fit in, and succeeds, barely. He finds a female, who in turn has the same experience except there is something wrong with her. The wolf pack turns on her and him because Rodferd tries saving her. The humans return and everything turns for the worse. At least, in Rodferd's eyes.
