One rainy afternoon, Jason come back from the store and helps a young girl who has taken refuge in the bushes of the Team Crafted L.A. mansion. He helps her inside to give her food, hot chocolate and let her dry off, and she confides in him with her story: That her name is Emily Roberts and she's an eighteen-year-old escapee from the local orphanage and that she wanted a new life before getting kicked out by the orphanage anyway. The team all agrees to let her stay the night and take her back the next morning... all except Mitch, who was up with his family in Canada and was delayed for a couple of days. When he gets back hours later, however, he has a different reaction than the others. Will a sad back story and an old bond be enough to convince the guys to legitimately adopt Emily instead of leaving her to rot out in the real world?

ThaliaKal, I highly recommend reading it (first)) This is a one shot built into the life of Sky, before he was the commander of the entire Sky Army, and when he was the apprentice of Commander Void-- the eighth commander of the legendary Sky Army in its endless war against the squids. However, there is a moment of peace, where some silly things happen that brings the commander's good-humored apprentice and the usually-stern commander even closer together... This takes place in the Archive story as an AU mini-story, simply created to express for love of ThaliaKal's character Void, and out of inspiration. I might create more of these one-shots and make this a book of them, but I would have to, of course, request permission...
