KN-521 spent years at the academy learning all the technologies of The First Order and the Empire. Historical tech had always been a special interest to her. So landing an assignment in the Communications Command Center on the Finalizer almost seemed like a dream job. It was easy to fix the issues on the destroyer unless it was one caused by Commander Kylo Ren. His constant tantrums left communications and navigation terminals completely destroyed. And her irritation with the Commander only endears her to the good General Hux. After one such incident, KN-521 discovers, much to General Hux's dismay, that the parts needed for repair are no longer made. And the only place where KN-521 can salvage a replacement is in the remains of one of the two Death Stars. And the only way to get there is with an escort by the person she hates most who makes her job the hardest. Commander Kylo Ren.

Although The Rise of Skywalker has brilliant moments, it has never sat right with me. In this rewrite I am using elements from TROS such as locations and specific events but redirecting the entire plot and characters. This fic will be Reylo heavy with them together for the majority of the story. I want to keep this story as realistic to the star wars cannon as possible so there will be tons of romance/tension but no smut. He said to Kylo and Katherine that saving Leona from them was the really right thing to do. From time to time, Kylo gets protective and worried about Leona, because of her unfortunate run in with stormtroopers, bullying and her emotional instability doesn't make it easy for her either.
