Of course, what was left of the world is complete hell, so she should fit in great if she were to release her identity, shouldn't she?

Yuichirou Hyakuya's life has been upturned more times than he can count. Removed from his parents' custody at eight years old, he was bounced back and forth between multiple foster homes until eventually being taken in by single-parent Guren Ichinose. After a painstaking four years of teenage angst and rebellion, the man finally earns Yuu's trust. However, on a hot summer day in a new neighborhood, it seems that even Guren has forsaken him. That's when he meets Mika, a boy his age on the swim team. He rescues Yuu from Guren's alleged abandonment, shirtless all the while. This, paired with his connection to the white-haired Ferrari driver Guren won't talk about, prompts Yuu to befriend him. Akemi survived a Virus that killed everyone over the age of 13. She was hiding in a closet for one year and is nearly dead, half starved is she found by the Japanese Imperial Army. Surprisingly Lieutenant Colonel Guren Ichinose, the cold harded jerk, how Akemi likes to call him when she is older, volunteered to raise Akemi and train her to be a Vampire killing death machine.

Rewind to 2016. 12 year old Himura Kimiko is cornered by three vampires after they proceeded to take the only remnant of her family she had left. Weak and unable to defend herself, Kimiko is willing to accept her death. That is until she is saved by a Major General of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army, who places her in the care of a dark-haired lieutenant. She undergoes the brutal training of becoming a soldier to get revenge, and Kimiko quickly turns into one of her caretaker's most loyal sergeants. Forward to present day, 2020. After refusing to lead an extermination squad on her own, she decides to help out the barely forming Shinoa Squad as Second-In-Command. Yuu, Mika and the rest of the squad are on a camping expedition with the rest of their school. After a successful first day, Yuu and Mika are paired in a tent, so are Shinoa and Mitsuba, and Kimizuki and Yoichi. They have to endure three days and two nights at a camping spot deep in the woods, going on hikes during the day then cooking and sleeping at designated spots along the trail.
