We live in a world where Psychics are rare, yet numerous. Psychic powers are not found in everyone, but there are enough who developed psychic powers to be well known. Of course, people have mixed feelings about this. Much like there is good, neutral, and evil... this applies to both populations, pyschic and not. And not every human likes psychics. Like most, they fear what they don't understand. But some psychics give them a reason to fear. They feel as though they are superior than normal humans, and most good psychics. They use their abilities to strike fear into the human population. This makes acceptance harder for those psychics that are good. Some humans are terrified of all psychics. But there are some who want to study them... for good reasons, and bad.

This is Linh's story, from her point of view. Linh Song, a seven year old elf,deals with the discrimination against twins in the Lost Cities. As she grows up, she manifests as a hydrokinetic, a really powerful elemental ability. She struggles to control her ability and eventually, her ability gets out of control and she floods the underwater city of Atlantis. Linh is then banished to the neutral territories and her twin brother Tam, goes with her. Leaving their ungrateful parents behind, they attend the school where all the banished go- Exillium. While there, they meet two strangers; one of them a hydrokinetic, who offers to help a struggling Linh control her ability. After much persuasion, Tam agrees, and training begins, but in the process, they begin to unearth secrets and are called back to the Lost Cities... *contains mild spoilers from book 4, Neverseen onwards* (Basically Linh's story before she gets banished till somewhere in the middle where she goes to exillium with a bit of my own plot and OCs coming in) The characters and the main storyline belong to Shannon Messenger, except my OCs and the plot from chapter 13 onwards.
