Hyundai India has introduced the dual-cylinder CNG setup for its Grand i10 Nios hatchback, following its successful implementation in the Exter model. This new configuration, available in the Magna and Sportz variants, aims to offer more boot space by accommodating two CNG cylinders instead of one. The pricing for the dual-cylinder CNG Nios ranges from Rs 7.75 lakh to Rs 8.30 lakh, reflecting a Rs 7,000 premium over the single-cylinder CNG versions, which remain on sale. The dual-cylinder model is also approximately Rs 97,000 more expensive than the equivalent petrol versions. Hyundai's decision to offer the dual-cylinder setup in the Nios aligns with a growing trend in the industry to enhance practicality and efficiency. The dual-cylinder configuration provides more cargo space compared to the single-cylinder setup, making it a more practical choice for those who require additional storage while benefiting from CNG's cost advantages. The Nios CNG, with its dual-cylinder system, maintains the same level of equipment and safety features as its petrol counterparts.
