The Adventures of Kaera Pendragon series presents: Detective Kaera Pendragon is suddenly promoted from a Community Safety Unit to the MPD's 2nd Unit Team. But on the team's very sudden assignment of a bomb threat, she's taken hostage by the bomber and knocked unconscious from a time bomb. Upon awakening, Kaera has a bit of amnesia and can't remember anything about the bomber or the explosion; which is odd since she has hyperthymesia, a rare medical condition which makes it so she can't forget anything she has ever seen, heard or experienced. So now she's partnered with Shane Phoenix the tall, rude and loud mouthed number one case closing detective as she tries to remember who the bomber is.

Watarashi Kei was not a normal child. Not by a long shot. Suffering from Hyperthymesia, he was questioned for knowledge his entire life. Whether it be from classmates, elders, the council, family, it didn't matter. By the tender age of seven, Watarashi Kei no longer cared for the people who he grew up alongside. They treated him like an animal, a lab rat, a foreign being. Unable to forget anything, unable to forget all the comments, all the glares, all the questions. He abandoned his birthplace, in hope of a new place, safe from the past. But there was no where like that, was there?

Everyone around her sees her ability as a gift because she has never had to study for tests, she never forgets people's names, and she is able to remember with perfect detail the events of her entire life. She only sees her ability as a curse as every night and day she is haunted by the ghosts of her past as she relives the most painful moments of her life. She hides her pain from everyone, no one can see the truth that she hides and no one can help her, not even her older brothers. But will she be able to hide all of this from her mate or will she keep up her hard exterior that she has always had?
