On the year 2563, 509 years after the Parousia, people with extrasensory powers already existed. Mankind has called these people, the Gifted. And with the powers of some Gifted, they successfully erected barriers in all of the major cities in the world to protect the normal mankind from the Remnants. In a prestigious academy named the Xerxes Academy for the Greater Gifted located in what is now called Xerxes (formerly Tokyo,Japan), there studied an overpowered student, Loki Shinato, and his little sister, Rika Shinato. The academy existed for one purpose, to slay the Remnants and liberate their souls. Unknown to them, the siblings are the reincarnations of two of the members of Spectrum, the legendary institution that saved mankind from the Parousia, or the second coming of the Lord, 509 years ago.
