Iancurtis Stories

It's 1978, and 21-year-old Zoe Amoretti is living a simple life in America. She has a passion for music, and enjoys meeting new people and making friends when she has the chance. One day, she meets a young man around her age, who happens to be Ian Curtis, the lead vocalist of a new band, Joy Division. Zoe quickly befriends him, and soon finds out Ian struggles with depression and epilepsy. Zoe becomes determined to help him, and hopefully help him find the light. "I've been waiting for a guide to come and take me by the hand, Could these sensations make me feel the pleasures of a normal man? These sensations barely interest me for another day, I've got the spirit, lose the feeling, take the shock away."

This is a poem I came up with just the other day. It may not make sense or rhyme but, it's my first attempt. It's titled "Lost (In My Head)" and, is highly inspired by the late Ian Curtis (Joy Division) (1950 - 1980) who, unfortunately took his own life. So, thank you, Ian for your musical excellence. For Keira, Santana, Levi, Nathan, Terrance, Rebecca, Mya, Ian, Peter and Bryan. And, thanks for Atmosphere, Ian, I'm in love with it. R.I.P......

Ian Curtis, a 22 year old singer, is on the verge of stardom but also desperation. He cannot seem to balance being a performer, a civil servant, a husband, a future parent and an epileptic. When he crosses paths with someone who knows nothing but desperation he tries to save her, falling in love and into a greater disorder than before. Not a Fairytale Story, not a Love Story. Merely one of two unquiet souls. ||Since there's a lack of Ian Curtis stories in this website I decided to create my own. This story is based purely on /my/ perception of Ian. Only he knew what went on inside his mind, that being said I hope you guys enjoy it.||
