Friday Barnes has never been put on a homicide case before, but when the murder of Bella Abbott remains unsolved after 3 months, Friday Ian and Melanie are put with the lead detective for the case: Arthur Otto. The more the three get to know Arthur, the more they get to know about her life. Is the perfect girl she seems to be really who she is on the inside? Or is there something darker under her neatly ironed clothes and quiet personality?

Friday Barnes is the only person who can see Death, and he is the only one who has ever truly known her, no matter how sickened that makes Friday feel. She's disgusted by him, tormented by his lingering presence. But maybe she'll come to love him. Maybe she already does. Gothic romance, Frian, Based loosely on Belladonna but I've forgotten most of the plot of that book so it's also not really like Belladonna except for the Death premise.

I'll be doing something similar to a character analysis and share it to anyone! I will be listing some planets that I think Friday has and her natal chart. There will be no spoilers in this. I will only be taking some of the writing Spratt has said(like day of the month and such) for timelines and some basic facts. However, please read at the books and support the author by purchasing her books. Ian is a writer from the Lakes district. When Friday comes over to help find his cat, he's finally found the perfect romance novel. And it's not just fiction, this time. The title is based on 'The Lakes' by Taylor Swift. It's a gorgeous song, and I think it encapsulates this fic well.
