In exchange she promised to spare her Father's life and stay out of his way; though he didn't know she was largely in his way due to the island she lived on. Skye's mother had seen her death coming soo she set things up so Skye would be taken in by her friend, the principal of the yokai school on an island meant for yokai. After the agreement was made, Skye packed up her thing and all her mother's journals and made the ten plus hour boat ride to her new life. She's had a year to adjust and now it was time for her to start attending school.
