Yet another film delayed by the pandemic, I first give a personal and relatively abridged account of my long history with this beloved franchise and what this new era of Pokémon films has meant for me. Then, I take a look at the film's unique take on the "Tarzan" legend and spins on classic series tenets.

Nova Ketchum is the younger sister of Ash Ketchum, and is about to start her pokemon journey the same way her brother did, getting a starter from professor oak and traveling from gym to gym to enter the indigo league. there will be a part two to this book once it's over, one where ash decides to go back and remain in kalos after he finally becomes pokemon master, and nova will travel to kalos and meet up with her brother and his friends. at that point in time, Bonnie will start her journey as a pokemon trainer
