This was the Blooming-a parasitic, reality-warping event that rewrites flesh into alien flora and shatters the human mind. The story follows a disparate group of survivors as the world dissolves around them. It's not just an invasion; it's a **transmutation**. The Algebralien infection doesn't kill-it consumes and rebuilds. Victims experience agonizing body horror as their bones splinter into woody stems, their skin peels back to reveal pulsing bioluminescent veins, and their memories bleed away like watercolor in the rain. The line between person and plant, between consciousness and colony, is violently erased. At the heart of the horror are three souls fighting the inevitable: * **Eli**, a pragmatic biologist, becomes a living case study of the Blooming, his analytical mind desperately clinging to logic as his body dissolves into a symbiotic mass of algae and nervous tissue. * **Mira**, a former soldier hardened by loss, finds her greatest battle is internal. Her martial instincts are warped into predatory alien impulses, and the face she sees in broken glass is a floral grotesque wearing the ghost of her own features. * **Jonas**, a disillusioned teenager, sees in the transformation a perverse freedom from a broken world.
