The Great Soviet Union is on the verge on collapse, almost everybody knew. So for his last blast of energy he threw a party, not any type of party, a Masquerade ball, a ten day party. Each country the Soviet knew got an invite. During the first night of the party, everyone was talking, Wondering who would take the Soviets place. The masked people all didn't know the next person, almost everyone in that room was completely clothed, no sign of color besides there eyes and mouth. The only unmasked male was Soviet, no mask could fit him, I mean his face was slowly crumpling up and breaking. So everyone gave him a last hug or had a pleasant conversation when he would pass, despite there differences. Though when the dance music started the Soviet just smiled when nobody knew who to dance with. So he just told everyone to take the nearest person as there partner. So everyone did. Two male countries remained, everyone else had a opposite genders. So they awkwardly stood in each other's arms, begging in there minds for the music to stop as they each gently stared in the others eyes. Eventually the shorter perked up conversation. "Well, might as well talk while we wait for the song to end, right lad?" The smaller one kindly said, hiding his accent with only a little showing. The taller country smiled "Alrighty chap." He said. The two didn't know the others name, but they already felt like they were becoming friends.
