Nova Live is an idol series that follows the journey of Emi Akanashi, a funny and outgoing girl who stumbles upon an audition for a new idol group. Despite never having sung or danced before, Emi decides to give it a shot and impresses the judges with her unique performance style. As she begins training to become an idol, Emi discovers that her sense of humor is her greatest asset and sets out to bring her own unique flair to the group.
