High School Musical 2 is a movie that came out in 2007 and has been loved ever since. But a mystery still stands, why did Ryan and Chad switch clothes after the 'I don't dance' musical number? Well I doubt this fanfic will properly answer that but I wanted to write something with Ryan after becoming obsessed with the franchise again. Enjoy :)

During the events of High School Musical 2, Chad Danforth thought he had summer all figured out. Bag a job, hang with the guys, and keep things simple the chaos of until senior year. But when he's assigned to the golf cart crew at Lava Springs Country Club and forced to work under non other than Ryan Evans - all pastel attire, sarcasm, and too many jazz squares - things get complicated fast. Ryan's not the guy Chad expected. And Chads definitely not the guy Ryan thought would catch his attention. Between multiple late-night shifts, dance offs, and swapped jerseys, a friendship starts to form. Then... something more. Chad had always been one to stick to the status quo, but what happens when the two boys start writing their own routine? A slow burn reimagining of High School Musical 2 told from Chad's point of view, where tensions are high, friendships shift, and two very different worlds collide under the hot Albuquerque sun. Because maybe... Chad does dance.
