SevenofSpades
Spade Keppeler's been called many things, including insane and a freak. Those were bad. If anything, those insults would just get worse if anyone found out he wrote a diary to his past self. Which he did.
This is the result of that diary. Entries containing advice to his past self, despite knowing these notes would never get to Rose, himself from a year ago. A story told with little context but much more understandable emotion and desperation for a different past, Spade's view of the world from a true neutral point of view opens up the experience of living in the very skin of a confused twelve year old reading letters from their older, teenage self.
For a bit more context, read the original story (also mine) called Really, Only, and Always the Truth.
