This story takes place after city of ashes and towards the beginning of city of glass. Clary travels to Idris in search of not only a cure for the spell Valentine placed on her mother, but also in search of the real Jonathan Morganstern. Her brother. After landing in the poisonous Lake Lynn due to a faulty portal, Clary experiences wild hallucinations and strange dreams. After the poison is out of her system the symptoms are suppose to go away, but Clary continues to get flashes of the fair-haired angel with the hypnotizing green eyes. When Clary seeks Jace's help, he shatters her with his words and pushes her away. This final straw in what seems like a never ending stream of failure and heartache pushes Clary to the end, and she discovers power unlike anything they've ever seen before. Will anything ever be the same?

Let's just hope that this one is up to standard as Clary goes through living nightmares of the present and relives almost identical nightmares of the past. She managed to save Jace years ago but will she manage to do it again only this time with a child to care for?

Note: This story is written with an assumption that readers had already read the Mortal Instruments series up to its third book (if you haven't, you should read them! They're awesome!). The timeframe of the story will be parallel to TMI: City of Glass, even though the initial setting will be different because of the main characters' differences (but they will slowly merge together with the events in the original book). There will also be some cameos from the Infernal Devices series, although they will not really affect the plot of the story. I haven't finish writing all the chapters though, and some details might possibly be changed in the future. But in the meantime, any questions, comments, suggestions and critiques are all welcome. Idris and Selion Hrawbor are stuck in a dangerous situation. Between scheming kingdoms and unknown creatures, they are forced into a dangerous mission to save their kingdom and everyone else. With a missing ring and an angry kingdom threatening war, they have to choose their steps carefully if they want to preserve the land they were to protect. But, behind the shadows, an ancient evil lurks. It's up to Idris and Selion to stop this evil from rising and to protect their people. First Draft (so expect a lot of grammatical mistakes)

Familiars are more commonly associated with tales of magic and wonder. They are beings whose sole purpose is to serve and protect their kindred spirit. One of these guardian spirits tries to seek his identity, though he encounters difficulty in the fact that the girl he guards misunderstands his purpose and allows herself to become terrified of him. This is a story about how he tries to remove this fear so that he can finally possess a name of which to call his own. (Yet another bit of proof of the fact that I can't write good summaries...oh well, I hope you find it in your hearts to give this short story a go, regardless :D I'd really appreciate it, thanks anyway).

They all call her weird, naive, and crazy. She didn't care though, she knew she wasn't. Echo Cooper saw everything different than others. She felt nature as it changed as the wind flew passed her and the leaves changed color. She saw stuff that others didn't, like how the animals in the forest took care of her when she went to the lake. When people in her town looked at the forest they saw bears, wolves, and rabbid animals, when Echo looked at the forest she saw saftey from the hurtful words and a whole new world that isolated her from everything bad happening.Then Idris LaVain crashes into her life. Turns out this mysterious boy might know a little bit, or a lot, about where she is coming from.
