A oneshot of the aftermath of Finny's death and his daughter with Autumn. Set after the events of if only I had told her.

AU. What if Finny hadn't gone to see Sylvie the night she came? What if he hadn't been driving in the rain? What if middle school and high school never came between Autumn and Finny? This is a version of Laura Nowlin's If He Had Been With Me through my eyes. I am in no way taking any credit to the wonderful characters that she created I am merely retelling the story my way.

My interpretation of if Finny had not died that night. I read this book a few months ago, and reread a few days ago. I think Laura Nowlin has an amazing mine, but I just could not accept the fate of my Finny. The author has this talent to make all of the characters seem like they're not just fictional and for her work to seep into every crevice of your being. It's such a special talent. I do not own these characters. Laura Nowlin created them.

If only I'd never left, everything would've been perfect.. Autumn and Finn were finally starting to warm up to each other once again after their falling out. Something had changed. Or they changed. Now, they are inseparable. Autumn finished her first novel and only one other person has read it, Finn. And Finn realized something. After a horrible accident, Autumn and Finn will have to overcome many challenges. That doesn't stop Finn from loving Autumn the way he always wanted to and vice versa. This book is going to be written differently than Laura Nowlin's style as I have not really written anything before. I hope y'all enjoy. :)

After the death of Finny, Autumn has raised her daughter solo with only the help of The Mothers, but has decided not to tell Phoebe the truth about Finnys' death until she turns sixteen---which is only a few months away. Though when Phoebe finds the manuscript of the book her mother wrote, along with her journals, everything unfolds--terribly. Heartbroken, confused, and upset, Phoebe flees with the first person she can find...which just so happens to be her childhood nemesis, Nathan Hallows.

What if it was his blood painting the roads that night and not hers? What if she has never unbuckled her seatbelt, the windshield staying intact? No glass broken resulting in a safe drive home with only shattered hearts left behind on the pavements. What if the road nursed both of their body's instead of just his? What if... In a world of what ifs and uncertainties of what could have happened if the domino effect never occurred. Could Finny and Autumns achieve their happy ending or is there fate together branded to end in tragedy. Fated to stay and die star crossed lovers? I guess we will have to find out. But one thing I can assure you. On August 8th, Phineas Smith did not die.

i am a delusional person. i refuse to believe the true ending of the story. so i wrote it myself even though i can't articulate real thoughts.
