ᴰᴼ ᵞᴼᵁ ᵂᴬᴺᵀ ᵀᴼ ᴷᴺᴼᵂ ᴹᵞ ˢᵀᴼᴿᵞ? "Kenneth." He kept pacing. "...and I met you. You weren't okay and it just broke my heart for some reason. How much can one person take? And I keep feeling this tug towards you, to check up on you but you're so stubborn. I had to pray about it all the time because I felt my heart was deceiving me or something. God knows how confused I was before I accepted that..." He just paused. "That what?" "That I liked you." ❊❊❊❊❊ In my story I'm a child of unfortunate circumstances, born to a reckless father and a housewife mother although the world thinks I have it all. In my story I struggle between loving my parents even though their actions make me angry, I struggle to be the shield for my sister while leaving her alone to pick herself up, I struggle to fit in with my peers even though we we've been friends for years. I can't even hold on to the person who saw me and wanted me. I hide myself behind thousands of questions, anxiety and fear. In my story I'm just another girl raised in Ibadan with nothing to look forward to. Hope is unknowingly what kept me together, hence I started writing letters. What am I hoping for? Who am I hoping on? Why? Why do I write to a person I can't see? How desperate must I be? I hope in a God I used to have around me. Though I don't blame him, I question why he left me, if he's still out there, and if he can still help me. Or maybe he never left me at all. The girl-child/woman has been seen as a mere object by many people all through history. This has caused major setbacks in the world because women have so much to offer. There are millions of things that would be better if women have always been allowed to be who they can be. Thankfully, there are now platforms that are re-writing history. However, not everyone is reached by this change. All around me,I still see women living below their level of intelligence because that is what they have always known.I want to see them be their best. Telling the story of unheard people, being a voice, being the change.

"Who's there?" I asked, tying my towel that was hanging close to my bathroom door. I opened the door quietly and stepped out of the bathroom and into the foot mat at the mouth of the door. There was no sign of anyone in the room. I moved towards my window and closed it, suddenly feeling chills. I turned to face my bed and that was when something attracted me. My phone was on the bed, in pieces. Someone was in my room and they made sure I knew they were there. I shivered a little bit, turning off the AC and sitting on my bed. I thought it was over. Book 2 of Secrets. Y'all should check out Secrets first please before reading this!

There are stories filled with joy, with peace, and with easy resolutions, I know. But this is not one of them... ********** "Lie down and face the bloody floor!" they shouted, their voices vibrating to my core. My heart pounded in my chest as I obeyed, my body trembling with fear. I glanced at Ikenna; his face was pale with terror, his eyes wide as he watched helplessly.
