ᴰᴼ ᵞᴼᵁ ᵂᴬᴺᵀ ᵀᴼ ᴷᴺᴼᵂ ᴹᵞ ˢᵀᴼᴿᵞ? "Kenneth." He kept pacing. "...and I met you. You weren't okay and it just broke my heart for some reason. How much can one person take? And I keep feeling this tug towards you, to check up on you but you're so stubborn. I had to pray about it all the time because I felt my heart was deceiving me or something. God knows how confused I was before I accepted that..." He just paused. "That what?" "That I liked you." ❊❊❊❊❊ In my story I'm a child of unfortunate circumstances, born to a reckless father and a housewife mother although the world thinks I have it all. In my story I struggle between loving my parents even though their actions make me angry, I struggle to be the shield for my sister while leaving her alone to pick herself up, I struggle to fit in with my peers even though we we've been friends for years. I can't even hold on to the person who saw me and wanted me. I hide myself behind thousands of questions, anxiety and fear. In my story I'm just another girl raised in Ibadan with nothing to look forward to. Hope is unknowingly what kept me together, hence I started writing letters. What am I hoping for? Who am I hoping on? Why? Why do I write to a person I can't see? How desperate must I be? I hope in a God I used to have around me. Though I don't blame him, I question why he left me, if he's still out there, and if he can still help me. Or maybe he never left me at all. The drawing on the pack of the strip test confirmed pregnancy. Please tell me today is April 1st and my body is just doing an April fool's prank on me. I opened my eyes and looked at the stick again. I was really pregnant. How did this happen? Oh wait! That's a dumb question to ask. I dropped the stick in the sink. I was seriously confused. Join Amaka on her journey. How will she cope as a teenage mom in an African society? Have a taste of this unusual love story.

Being in a marriage with her ex-boyfriend's bestfriend wasn't what she wanted infact she had never dreamed of it but here she was with a child even, a child she thought was his all along. Her ex; Debare has finally returned back from Japan and he is the least happy about what had happened in his absence but he wasn't going to accept the fact that he was the cause of it; a little misunderstanding which he was yet to discover. Genesis is trying to fit in into the life she was living after all she had never had her way for as long as she can remember. A dad who doesn't show much care, a mom who really can't say anything and her brothers who are just working their butts off for whatever their father's company could offer; their inheritance and now a man she doesn't love to be with her till death did them part. Debare might have thrown his past away but he still had feelings for the woman who was once in it, the woman married to his bestfriend. INSIDE THE BOOK::::::::: "So you can't see it too?" she said dropping her tea cup. "see what exactly ma?" I asked getting confused. " Her child's eyes. Genesis's child had your eyes and she talks just like you too. Sharp mouthed, brave, open minded and let's not forget she's not shy either" she tried pointing out. "With all due respect ma, all these could be minor coincidence and nothings else. I saw them myself having fun on his bed and she slept there comfortably putting on what I can't even call clothes" I was already getting angry remembering the scene that took place years ago. "I dont know what you mean or what happened but I'm a mother and I know what I'm saying. That child is yours" she drank out of her tea cup. It couldn't be, I mean I saw them, she cheated and they wanted to give me someone else's child to call my own but what if it was true.

The description of this book is honestly self-explanatory (I guess 😌). After reading so many amazing books on Wattpad and discovering a lot of incredible writers , especially Nigerians I'm super proud of .I decided to give back to the WattNaija community. I'm not a writer, but I am an amazing reader, and this is my own little way of contributing. I'll be dropping honest reviews of books I've read on Wattpad and recommending the really good ones for you to check out. I'm also open to reading requests, as long as your book is completed. Update (a year later): I've decided to start doing my reviews from a Nigerian reader's perspective, so expect a lot more focus on how the books connect with us, our culture, and our vibes.

"I love you." He whispered huskily into my ears, nuzzling the region between my neck and shoulder. And as simple as it may sound, that's all it took for me to know he was the one-approximately three words and eight letters. I grabbed his strong jaw gently and kissed him passionately, not giving two fucks if we get caught. I was surprised by his reaction because, I expected him to jerk back but instead he responded harder and more fierce than I ever imagined. ------------------------------------------------------------- Chiamaka Okammelu, a Benin-city Lagosian. Apparently; she thinks she has finally found the one and is deeply and madly in love with him, at least that's what she thinks it is. Amaka has had a rough past with love but upon discovering him, she finds another outlook towards love and is amazed by it. For Amaka, a tiny spark ignited into a wild fire which burnt her to the core but instead of dieing out, turned into something much more or should I say much less, finally turned into nothing but dust and ashes... How's that for an intro to my book? Well, if you love that🔝. Then be sure to check out my book and the only way you can do that is by following me, adding my book to you library, reading it and being up-to-date with my profile. Enjoy... 😋😘😗😝
