Noctis very carefully peeled an eye open, stifling a gasp of pure shock. Hunched by the glowing tree was a man dressed head to toe in fluffy red and white clothes. The man turned back with a smug smile and winked an amber eye that reminded Noct quite a bit of a certain Amicitia.

After arriving in the new world new things have come to pass, including Hope becoming more invested in science, Noel trying to find any trace of his old friend Caius, and Serah and Snow ending their engagement. Lightning expected all the twists and turns of this new world but didn't expect a prince to be involved in the matter. Noctis has been through hell and back, even when Luna brought him and his comrades back from the afterlife he still feels like he failed, and when his friends try to comfort him he finds new people have arrived, including a tough warrior unlike any other.
