When those you are supposed to trust turn their back on you, where do you turn? A story about a princess and a prince, as likely as the moon and the sun, but even those stories have their cracks. This is a YA fantasy books which include things like LGBTQ+ and POC (and other things), a subplot of romance, and a bunch of tropes like enemies to lovers, slowburn, the "chosen" one (kind of at least), quests, I hate everyone but you, found family (which we all love) lovers to enemies and so much more. It's a book that talks about friendship, grief and building relationships and I think it has a strong and powerful meaning. TW!!! Mentions (and visual) abuse (mental, physical and mentioned sexual, but not a lot in this book), prejudices, depression, anxiety, suicide and suicidal characters, swearing, murder, blood and aggression, a lot of angst, and generally characters that are morally grey. (There is no sexual scenes in this book but it can and is implied in some scenes, and I have one harassment scene at the end of the book, but it's not major, but it might trigger some things).
