As things complicate for the couple, there's an accident sending Sage into a downward spiral and she starts to question life and its meanings.

The main character Alice has grown up in a house her whole life surrounded by a garden. With only a near fence keeping her in. Ex-royal's demon father and daughter duo name, Alatar and Esther Cartwright escape from Australia after finding out something they shouldn't had. Alatar Cartwright, held his daughter in his arms. Her crimson blood stained his clothes but he seemed not to care, as he watched her take shallow, painful breaths. He was brought back to when he first held, Esther. He remembers feeling so proud to finally become a father. He would watch her take small, shallow breaths for hours everyday. But this time? This time was different. He was watching his daughter, his pride and joy, his entire world, take her final breaths and there was nothing he could do to slow down the bleeding. .... All good things must come to an end eventually. As Alatar's star stopped breathing, and her eyes unfocused. He felt Esther go limp in his arms, but that only caused him to hold on tighter, as if his love for his daughter will bring her back. Alatar let out an agonizing scream. The most pain filled one the ballroom had heard all night. It caused heads to turn. Demons and Humans (or at least the ones not hiding).
