This story is what originally would have happened in the one . But Kierra Cass ( Writer of the one ) switched the idea at the end of the book leaving this idea in the past . I have decided to write this because I'm sure some fans are curious of what would have happened if things ended up differently. Prince Travon, who is already a mystery after their mysterious first encounter, seems cold and indifferent towards Lumina. How does a competition that's supposed to make someone feel special make Lumina doubt herself even more? DISCLAIMER: Those that have read The Selection will wonder when this book takes place. I don't know. It exists in the same universe as The Selection, but ultimately doesn't work in terms of timing, and I apologize for that. (Fighting and mild cursing included.)

There are no characters from The Selection by Kiera Cass in this book, all the characters are original, I just used the world and concepts to make my own selection!
