' "Over there", I pointed to the small wooden bench near the end of the road.
It was where one of my favourite memories with her had taken place; the two of us talking for hours. So simple but yet so meaningful.
As we sat in silence, I reached over to take her open hand into my own. Slowly, her gaze rested upon them, but still she said nothing.
With a deep breath, I started to speak in a quiet, soothing voice as I didn't want to scare her away with what I was going to say.
"Ocean...", I began, "there's something I've needed to say for so long."
Her beautiful blonde hair fell over her shoulders as she raised her chin, intending for her bright blue eyes to meet my soft brown ones as if to tell me to carry on. Suddenly a lump formed in my throat and an almost ticklish sensation invaded my body. Was I finally ready to give myself to her? '
If you're looking for a soppy romance story with vampires or werewolves, then I suggest going elsewhere. This story didn't quite go down like that at all and continues writing itself each and every day. I decided to write this not because I'm a fan of love or that I adore the idea of love but because I think it's helped me to recognise the true meaning of life; the meaning that I'd been missing. Love itself.

Having had a little inspiration for this, I just knew I had to write it. May have been a mere spur of the moment but what's said and the feelings that are portrayed are more than everlasting as they are very much real. Could be that I know this because of myself and the butterflies that flutter around my tummy from a single glance or it could be that I've seen it happen to someone else and I saw it in her eyes. Either way, it's as real as ever.
