"He was half of my soul, as the poets say." This is a work of added scenes to Madeline Miller's novel, The Song of Achilles. I wrote these after reading the novel, creating little moments I felt fitting in the real book. I hope you enjoy reading these figment of my imaginations as much as I enjoyed creating them.

His third-in-command, Polites, seems to be shifting a bit closer to you by each day. Monsters and divine interventions are a never ending nuisance, especially since Hermes has taken a liking to bothering Odysseus, which means bothering his closest friends too. (EPIC: The Musical is not mine! This is merely a fanfiction that I made to comfort myself of Polites the Pancake's death. (THIS STORY TAKES PLACE AFTER THE MAIN STORY ARC OF ODYSSEY, IF YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED THE STORY, THERE WILL BE SPOILERS HERE, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!) The bloodline of Leonidas holds Kassandra, the Eagle Barer and Alexios, once known as Deimos. Two great and formidable warriors descended from a Greek hero. Leonidas isn't the only Greek hero... (Y/N) is a descendant of the hero of The Trojan War, Achilles. Another great hero of Greece who shares blood of the civilization that came before.

Alexandra is a Princess of Troy, daughter to King Priam and Hecuba. Twin to Paris of Troy, she is kidnapped in the Temple of Apollo along with her cousin, Briseis. Achilles, who takes a friendly liking in her, protects her while Patroclus falls in love with the Trojan Princess.

Patroclus had followed Achilles to Troy, but not like so many thought because of his Oath as a suitor of the kidnapped Helen. His motives unclear even to his closest friend Achilles, he steered 10 ships towards Troy- and following his friend and love. Emotions running high in the camp as they lay siege on Troy, Patroclus takes risks and hot-headed Achilles is left to wonder- and wonder as Patroclus follows his heart for what seems like the first time in his life. After the Trojan War, time passed quickly and is now in the modern world. Achilles and Patroclus were given the chance to be reincarnated and start anew. However, they would not know each other. Nevertheless, they accept the condition and choose to live again in the mortal world, vowing to find each other and reunite. Will they find each other and finally unite their souls in this new world or will they eventually repeat history and part ways?

After crying over reading the passage of Patroclus' death in the Iliad, I realized the place these two characters have in my heart. Patroclus and Achilles linked by a filia relationship, I had to know more. I discovered the existence of The song of Achilles, it seemed the perfect book to appease my obsession, but it was in reprint, I would have to wait a month. What to do? The 14-year-old me after several crying sessions on the Iliad decided to put into words the visions I had during that reading. Now several years have passed, I have read The song of Achilles, which has also gained popularity thanks to tiktok, and I do it again every year because I can't think of the love that binds these two characters and the one I feel for them.
