Illuga refused to be a victim. Armed with an unstable, raw Geo vision, he plotted a midnight escape alongside a chaotic band of gifted kids-the poetic Kazuha, gentle Durin, rogue detective Heizou, and the hot-tempered Scaramouche. Rescued from the facility by Grand Master Varka, the runaways were brought to the safety of Mondstadt, where they finally grew up with a real family. Now fifteen years old, Illuga is trying to look like a hardened, serious warrior who hasn't be scarred or broken under Master Diluc's strict roof. There is just one massive, burning problem. Flins has followed them to Mondstadt to find him. Despite the bitter history of abandonment, Illuga has a hopeless, heart-melting crush on his former guardian. He tries to act cool by performing "tactical assessments" from behind Mondstadt's windmills, but his unyielding Geo defenses completely shatter under the merciless teasing of his friends and Venti's chaotic Anemo pranks. Tripping over the very cobblestones he was supposedly "inspecting" and waking up from suffocating, romantic dreams of Flins only makes his face turn a betraying shade of beet red. As the shadow-market hunters still loom, Illuga must figure out if he can truly trust the man who hung the stars in his sky-before his heart completely melts.

Lohen invited himself to go into Nod-Krai on its misty night with Varka and Flins. While killing some of the wild hunt he ends up getting hit in the head by a beacon light. It belonged to Illuga so Lohen decided to follow him into the most dangerous part of Nod-Krai which got them stuck there.
