this is my first ever fanfic so idrk what i'm doing but uh,, this is basically a cyberpunk au of the illuminae series (by jay kristoff and amie kaufman) (if illuminae isn't already considered cyberpunk?) kind of killjoys-esque. basically beitech is a megacorp that owns pretty much all of the planet where this takes place. illuminae is a rebel group (mainly based in the capital city) that's basically attempting to topple beitech's tyrannical reign. there's gonna be a lot of angst, a lot of fluff, and a lot more ella malikova than there was in the books (it's what she deserves!!). if anybody ends up reading this, first of all color me surprised, but i hope you like it! We're all born with demons. When we're ten, they're taken away for our protection by the Illuminaes. When Lila gets a message from her demon, Elijah, warning that bad things are going on, she starts questioning the Illuminaes. Encouraged by Elijah and forced by her mother to go to Illuminae Heights, the school for future Illuminaes, her and her new roommate struggle to find out what's going on. Are they all in danger? What happens if generations of miserable demons make it out of where they were so viciously put in?

A Sci-Fi novel about a rogue AI, a CORRUPT government, and the brainwashed populace. Go figure. And allusions to real life stuff/pop culture references that nobody will understand in the future several sci-fi sources were used as inspiration. No AIs were harmed in the making of this novel. (This also uses a lot of a previous story we scrapped) Happy reading!
