He traveled often... on his own. When choosing his next destination, he relied on the recommendations of the people he met and on chance. Consequently, they often brought him to places that are not so popular among tourists. Once, he met a woman from Bulgaria and after listening to her stories about her country over a glass of wine, he immediately booked a ticket for the next flight to Sofia. Similar situations brought him to Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland and Romania. You know, they don't top the list of most popular countries to visit but he was thrilled. Her POV I thought I was alone. I thought the walls around me were just walls. But every shadow, every creak, every corner I didn't notice before... they were all listening. Watching. I should have run the moment I saw the hidden door, but I didn't. More like - couldn't. Nothing was ever a coincidence. Everything was planned. I was just a puppet moving only on his commands. I finally understood...... Only it was too late. Author's POV She stumbled into the room she was never meant to find. Or maybe she was always meant to. The walls were lined with photographs - every year of her life, captured without her knowledge, each captured moment in that small rectangle was neatly documented, obsessively preserved. The air was thick with silence, broken only by the shallow breaths of realisation seeping in. Every single moment was being watched and quietly being noted. Coincidence stopped ever since he entered the picture..... Unannounced. His POV You don't understand yet. That's fine. You will. Every fear, every hesitation, every mistake - I will be there. Like I have always been. Guiding you. Protecting you. Teaching you. Eventually, you'll understand why you were never truly alone..... And why leaving was never an option.
