Gwen after her downfall with Duncan and Courtney decided to give up on making things better with the two, Courtney was ignoring and even thought Duncan was trying to make things seemingly better... he seemed to be failing miserably. Trent was the first and only person who noticed Gwen's off behavior, but despite the two's rocky paths he felt the need to comfort Gwen.
