Mariella Borsellino is the only daughter of Francesco Borsellino, the famed Italian Mob boss of New York. After an attempt on her life she is assigned a bodyguard. Bastiano Franchetti is a serious and dangerous man. He was raised like a soldier and disciplined from a young age. As Mariella and Bastiano flee New York on her father's wishes, she can't help but start to fall in love with him.

Two people from the same world, growing up in the same business, in the same environment with parents who are best friends and siblings who see each other as family. A relationship everyone thought was garnetted to happen but it never did, until it did. They made each other better, bringing out the sides to each other that their parents and loved ones thought were lost years ago.
