WATTPAD ORIGINAL EDITION When her initiation into her college's History Club goes awry, Sol has to come face to face with Ethan-the cute guy whose house she just broke into. ***** Soledad Gutierrez, or Sol to her friends, decides to join the History Club at her Community college. However, this club is not like other clubs: they have an initiation process and a slew of other 'extracurricular activities.' In order to join the club, Sol must break into the oldest house in her small Californian town and steal one of their forks. The club members provide all the materials to break in; she just needs to take the utensil, take a selfie in the kitchen, and get out undetected-with the fork, of course. The problem is: Ethan Winston spots Sol in his grandparent's house, and he's determined to uncover the reason behind the break-in. However, both he and Sol are thrown for a loop when feelings begin to develop between them. And as Ethan becomes suspicious of the History Club, he and Sol get tangled in an adventure none of them were expecting. What would the Vow look like if it starred a South Asian couple? Would it be like Jab Tak Hai Jaan? Or would it be entirely different? Let's find out! At 16, Jhanvi read The Sun Is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon. She'd sat down in her reading nook with mild-liners, sticky note tabs, and pens ready to annotate like the bookstagrammer she aspired to be. It was a quick read for her, but she paused when Yoon spoke about Koi No Yokan, the Japanese saying roughly translating to love at second sight - the feeling when you know you'll inevitability give your heart away to this person. The romantic in her beamed at the possibility. Jhanvi wondered who would evoke a sense so strong and intuitive. At 21, she met Farhan and she knew. Each moment they spent together, she could feel herself falling in love with him. At 24, she had their lives planned out. At 25, he fell into a coma. At 26, she was alone in New Brunswick.

I Think I Love Myself?! is a coming-of-age story told through a collection of journals about love, written by a first-generation immigrant and eldest daughter (the elusive N.R.M.). Each entry ladders back to the question we all wrestle with at some point: I love myself... well, I think I love myself?! Loving yourself sounds obvious. We're told to love others as we love ourselves, but love is a question mark and an exclamation point, sometimes at the same time. Each journal in my larger collection captures a conversation with every version of myself (past and present), from 14 year old me to 29 year old me. Chapter Outline: 1. Genesis 2. High School Years 3. Undergraduate Years 4. Postgraduate Years 5. Mid-to-late 20s

Decades of poems born from confusion and insecurity. Written through the intensity of doubt, self-sabotage, addiction, and limiting beliefs I have now overcome as I enter my third decade. I turned fifteen amid major shifts: moving unexpectedly from Southeast Asia to the West, and death of my father shortly after. This loss, this shock, this confusion shaped my identity for many years. Although melancholic, these pieces trace the edges of self-awareness and healing. This is a tribute to my younger self, who discovered herself through these words and released the weight of loss and trauma.

"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single woman in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a husband." Wait, that's not quite right. Malak, for one thing, does not have a good fortune, at least not the finanial kind. Still, she always felt like she had it all, though some would argue that point, especially distant relatives. But she just made tenure, upgraded to Yamaha bike with that bonus check, and most importantly, the adoption process has been finalized and she was the proud mother of the 15 year old Noor, after fostering for five years. But most people back home, all they can see is a established but single Muslim woman in her 30s in desperate need of a man, who doesn't put enough effort to get married, and selfishly chose to have a child on her own. Over the years, she's avoided potential blind dates like cooked meat on Eid morning, but deep down, she wasn't sure she could get past her belief that love and marriage weren't in her 'qadar' file. Still, nothing is ever as it seems, and when it comes to love, Malak knows better than most, that it is best not to be blind.

I missed you." She whispers sounding nervous, her hand clutching my jacket sleeve. I turn to face her. And for a slight second I'm memorized by her beauty, by her light, until I remember why she is not mine. "You missed me?" I struggle not to show my anger, to contain my sneer. "You didn't miss me, Grace. You miss who I was to you." Her hand falls from my sleeve. I try not wince, instead I smirk, "What happened? He got tired of you, or was he replaced by someone else? Are you on the lookout for a new distraction? Isn't that what I was to you?" Her face falls and the look in her eyes peirces my heart. She looked pained. How could I still care for her? The scariest part of loving the same gender is when they end up being with the opposite gender after you. Like you were just a phase, a fleeting moment, a memory that can be easily replaced by that person. The love you both cherished could simply be a chapter in their book that wasn't meant to be written until the end. Kasi paano ka ba naman makakalaban kung ang ka-kompetisiyahan mo na ay isang lalaki? One that can man enough to create a family with you and marry you under the eyes and blessings of God in the church without any injustices and disapprovals from your own family and the society you live in? But I don't dare to think that. I don't want to have that mindset. Kung tatanungin mo ako: bakit babae? Bakit pa, kung kaya mo ring mag-mahal ng lalaki? Well, there's just one answer to that for me. Because there was this one girl before. And my heart has burned for her ever since. - 10 years after leaving the Philippines to live an independent and grueling life in New York, Elijah Menendez is compelled to come back in the country when her first love rushes back into her life through yet again another punch into her weak heart-a wedding invitation.
