His life has been terrible so far. Yes he might be the heir of a great sum of money, but those sheets of paper don't suffice his wishes. He wants more.
After the love of his life passes away mysteriously, he finds no more point in life and prepares to jump over the great bridge. And he would have done that, if it wasn't for a flying flier for some strange game that dropped in front of him.
Reluctantly, the boy thinks that there is no point in going nor dying so he decides to join the fun while it lasts.
The island is a place of fairytale and magic, full of castles and thorn mazes. It's such a twisted place, where the participants are mostly rich or well put people like him.
The Host joins them at the first dinner and explains the rules, which are as strange as anything there. Really stupid rules but the award is worth it; a single wish, one that could grant everything one wished, even bringing back the dead.
His head snapped into place. He was going to win this to save his wife's life.
Everything would have been easy for him, but this was no place for silly tricks. The games were gory, the atmosphere dull and the players set to win or quit, bringing shame back on their families. Hunt or be hunted, he resolved.
Everything becomes stranger as the games begin to be more twisted and he feels like a shadow is following him from the depths of the dark places all around the island. Paranoia overcomes his mind as he wonders... Is there any point in still living for something if you can't live for yourself?
